this book seemd to pop up from nowhere (or maybe i wasn't payin attention)I think i'll have to give it a read after such good praise. and from a moomin too...

I haven't read it yet, but did slyly just buy it as a present for my other half with the intention of pinching it back to read very soon.... I'll let you know what I think

Absolutely! I got this for my birthday last year and love it....

This is an absolutely fine piece of writing. A must if you're an Auster fan and a great introduction to the author if you're new to his work. A delightful read that you can whizz through and forget about everything else that you haven't quite got around to doing yet.

I'm glad for your sakes that it hasn't gone up to £499. although I was thinking I had myself a little fortune in my hands.... Good to hear you're enjoying it too Tom

I might give Pale View of the hills a go then... and the audio version of Never Let Me Go might keep me occupied on my life of continual driving...

I love this book...its one of those that you dip in and out of and always find something you didn't notice before. As Soph says its a brilliant coffee table one...

As part of Ken Wilson's series of classic rock routes in the UK, this is a beautiful little tick list of the exteme routes. Match it up with the aforementioned Classic Rock, Hard Rock and Cold Climbs and you've got yourself a rather delicious set. It's out of print though, so if you've got one they're now worth a teeny fortune...
