This is an absolutely fine piece of writing. A must if you're an Auster fan and a great introduction to the author if you're new to his work. A delightful read that you can whizz through and forget about everything else that you haven't quite got around to doing yet.

As part of Ken Wilson's series of classic rock routes in the UK, this is a beautiful little tick list of the exteme routes. Match it up with the aforementioned Classic Rock, Hard Rock and Cold Climbs and you've got yourself a rather delicious set. It's out of print though, so if you've got one they're now worth a teeny fortune...
