History of Love
I couldn't disagree more. The poetic writing style drew me in from the beginning. The plot was hard to follow and confusing until about half way through the book, but definitely worth sticking it out. A funny and sad story of friendship and lost love. I was entranced and enthralled from the first page to the last. Would recommend to any age and both genders.

Falling Leaves
Couldn't finish it. All bitterness and self pity.

Lovely Bones
Beautiful and so sad it was almost painful to read in parts. Even though I am female, and don't have children, I found myself identifying with the father and his immense grief.

Memoirs of a Geisha
As is so often the case, the book is so much better than the movie.

Little House on the Prairie
My favorite book series as a child. (Way before the television
show)

1984
I read this book well before 1984. Never imagined that anything like "big brother" could happen in the US. George Orwell saw the future, a couple of decades later than he thought.

Handmaid's Tale
My least favorite of Margaret Atwoods books.

Time Traveler's Wife
One of the most original and interesting novels I've read.
