Good question!

I've read Snow Crash, Zodiac, Diamond Age and Cryptonomicon. Quite fancied Quicksilver actually. But to be honest I miss understood the aim behind the book groups :-) I thought it was a way of grouping books, not a group for discussing books. Maybe we should change the title from 'The best of scifi' ? ?

Ahhh - yes ...

Yeah we probably need to add more info on what makes up a book group - its designed to emulate a real life reading circle, someone picks a book for people to read.

We also need email notifications if someone posts a message in a topic your interested in ... otherwise you can't keep up!

Grouping books?

I agree with your points. How about adding to the book group the option to group books as well. I think that its would be nice to discuss a whole set of books rather than a single book. I wonder if I would feel limited having to discuss one book, but the idea of grouping all of the Dune series together and having a good old geeky discussion would be great. Just a thought!

Maybe you need a feedback form too, haha. :-)

You HAVE to start with classic Asimov if you are going to kick off something on Sci Fi. No question about it.

Yes i like both of those

Never read any asimov ... shocking isn't it!

feedback form is a great idea, and i also like the idea of being able to read multiple books in your book group ... will add it to the list :)

You should checkout 'I Robot'

its a great introduction to Asimov and is quite an easy read as its a set of short stories based around Asimovs 'three laws of robotics'.
