Posted by DavidK (1 year ago ) Set in the 1930s, this tale of gangsterism remains one of the most chilling and compelling studies of evil and redemption. Green brilliantly evokes the seedy underbelly of Brighton just before the Second World War, and his anti-hero, Pinkie, is a terrifying creation.
