Fingersmith
Sarah Waters
Now a major three-part BBC1 drama starring Charles Dance and Imelda Staunton, this novel from the author of 'Tipping the Velvet' and 'Affinity' is a story of fraud, insanity and secrets.

Now I'll have to go back and dig it out. It's there alright and it's somewhere in the middle but the precise details escape my ancient memory.
It is a really good book and she is a really good writer - but, and this is quite a big but, there is a massive flaw in the story. It just does not work out logically and that, in a turning and twisting thriller, is a major problem.
Hey, what is the massive flaw? Not questioning you, I'm fully ready to believe that I could have missed it lol.
This book was maybe not as good a love story as Tipping the Velvet. However it was a great story otherwise, with some love in it. I love stories about theives and captives so this book was really interesting for me. about 1/4 of the way through (maybe more) this book takes a surprising turn that really draws the reader in.
