Great Expectations
Charles Dickens
This novel traces the growth of the book's narrator Philip Pirrip (Pip), from a boy of shallow dreams to a man of depth and character. From its dramatic opening on the bleak Kentish marshes, the story abounds with some of Dicken's most memorable characters.

I'm not a big Dickens' fan, but I do like this one...even if I am starting to understand Miss Havisham a little too well at this point in my life.
one of my fave dickens, read it as a young un as well, may well revisit it now
Do - you will be repaid handsomely! I first read this when I was 12 years old and have re-read it twice since then. It is one of my all time favourites - beautifully told, beautifully constructed (which is unusual for Dickens!) and utterly gripping.
I love Charles Dickens. This is definately a book i'll read over and over again.
