Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
J.K. Rowling
Harry discovers what fate truly has in store for him as he inexorably makes his way to the final meeting with Voldemort.

A good compelling read. A few good unexpected twists. Entertaining for adults and children alike.
I was surprised my everything about this book! I didn't expect half of the things that actually happened, and every single thing kept me hooked to the line! This is my favourite book of the series and I think everything tied together in perfection, but there are still a few thngs I would like to know! The story was very sad in the second half and brought tears to my eyes, the story overall a lot of fun to read and really is a story that you 'can't put down'. I'd recommend this to anyone, but obviously it's worth reading the others first to understand the storyline :-)
The series peaked with book 4 which was a mjor turning point from children's entertainment to something darker. This was a good end but no more than that. I found the ending a little to neat (Harry of course cannot deal the killer blow, had to be a rebound) and all loose ends tied up a little too easily for my liking. Still good though and sad to think there are no more.
The book was good, the ending was far too...sweet. I think that would be the appropriate word.It didn't match the darker tone of the rest of the book; But then again I detest Ginny with an unrivalled passion. And Harry did annoy me a tad. Well he has been since book 5. He was always groaning and complaining and sulking. He also tended to go off on a half-cocked idea with no plan in mind which tended to end up badly. No offense but it was slightly too unbelievable. Who on earth would go roaming aroun the english countryside with no apparent plan? A good reas, the end of an era. Just anti-climatic in it's death throes.
i also hate ginny. and they went inot the coutryside so thet the death eaters could not track them. harry is such an idiot, like who would jump into a freezing pond?
I enjoyed it too. Nice resolution to the series, however the last chapter was a bit too sugary for my liking !
Sod Will Self, I loved it. A great story, as ever, well told. Yes the epilogue was a little twee but you can see why she would want to do it. Or is it time for the Next Generation?
After all the hype, it was never going to live up. Epilogue was twee and unnecessary, and although i couldn't have told you before hand what was going to happen, somehow there were still no surprises. A page turner, but was that just because I was desparate to finish it before I heard the plot-twists somewhere else. Would prefer to have been surprised a bit more. Oh, and I agree abou the bad-language (and if I'm not mistaken, a couple of allusions to sex - or is that just my dirty mind?)
I loved it! I was late for work this morning as I had to get it finished.
I enjoyed reading it but there were a couple of bad language words in there that I didn't think were appropriate for a book that is pitched at kids.
Looking at the cover price, I'm not sure it IS pitched at kids!
me loved it. i cried near the end. i've never cried over a book before. so good...:-D.
I loved it too - cried aswell (but then I quite often cry over books). Can't believe it's finished - sob!
"Harry discovers what fate truly has in store for him"
Maybe he'll be offered a job in Gordon Brown's government of 'all the talents'.
Nah -- I read the first four and that was more than enough.
Not me. I'm with Frank Skinner: I'll start reading kids' books when it's acceptable for kids to buy porn.
Okay, hands up, who's looking forward to this one ? Personally, I'll admit, I am. I've found the previous six enjoyable so I'm eagerly awaiting this to see how it all ends up.
