I found this book to be a little odd but came across as a slightly light hearted, very amusing fantasy novel. Certainly not a dead serious book, its more a book where a serious job is taken by a character who is absolutely delightful with a side kick who adds those comedic lines at exactly the right moment.
Check it out, I sure you will have trouble finding another book quite like this one. (except Tanya's other books of course.) The sequels to this book however I found a little dissapointing.
