Posted by xantippe (1 year ago ) This is my very favorite fantasy book. It's enormously engaging, and completely convincing. And, unlike so much plot-driven fantasy, the characters in this book are finely drawn. In fact, they are so well drafted that when one of them dies at the end of the second book, I found myself unable to read the third, I was just that upset! Sheesh. High recommended.
