Great writing, true, autobiographical account of the author's growing up and becoming a drug dealer, drug user, thief, and ultimately an inmate in prison after shooting a policeman during a robbery. Quite raw and revealing of his inner torment and struggle to survive. And, indeed he did -- he's a wonderful writer!
