Closing Time
Joseph Heller
"Catch-22", published in 1961, captured the hilarious and tragic insanity of the times and galvanized the conscience of a generation. This - 33 years later - is the sequel which revisits the same characters, now older but not wiser.

If you loved catch 22 then this might be a bit of a dissapointment. It is billed as the sequel and catches up with a much older Yossarian in a crazy strange messed up world that is normal life.
Still has the flashes of the catch22 genius, but it is definitely not in the same league - nice to see Yossarian again though ...
I found this book very difficult. I really wanted to enjoy it - but I didn't. If you are a lover of Catch 22 then I suggest you leave Closing Time well alone.
