Special Topics in Calamity Physics
Marisha Pessl
Structured around a syllabus for a Great Works of Literature class, this tale reveals how the imagination finds meaning in the most bewildering times, the ways people of all ages strive for connection, and how the darkest of secrets can set us free.

This book was incredible. I was really sad when it ended. It was really interesting because it worked on a number of different levels. The degree and skill of writing was such that you could read it as a light and fun story or else do a po-po-mo deconstruction of it.
This was a book lover's book. Some of the things she wrote were so funny they make you audibly laugh and some so sad that you want to cry. I borrowed the book from the library, but I want to purchase it so I can lend it out to people. I can't say enough good things about this book.
Pessl is a rock star and one of my new favourite writers. I can't wait for her next book.
