In life and, indeed, in liff, there are many hundreds of common experiences, feelings, situations and even objects which we all know and recognize, but for which no words exist. This text uses place names to describe some of these meanings.






A truely brilliant concept - what if place names described those ridiculous situations we all find ourselves in but have no way of putting into words.
for example to woking describes the peculiar feeling you get from sitting on lavatory seat still warm from its previous occupier.
