Dan Brown
Professor Robert Langdon is called upon to identify a mysterious symbol seared onto a dead man's chest. It belongs to the Illuminati, a secret brotherhood with a vendetta against the Catholic church. Langdon and scientist Vittoria Vetra must find the Illuminati before the Vatican is attacked.

Much better than "The Da Vinci Code". It must have been an accident: this guy just can't write!
I liked this book better than the Da Vinci Code. Quite frankly i found The Da Vinci Code to be quite mediocre.
I read this book after reading Da Vinci Code, and thought the two books were very very similar. I agree with one of the other reviewers, that the ending was way over the top. It should have finished far sooner. Other than that, still very readable, and out of the four of his I have read, this one is the one I like the best.
This one was better than the Da Vinci Code, but I found the ending just too over the top. The writing style (again) was flat, and (again) it was the puzzles that drew me through the book, no the prose.
Horribly written. I couldn't make it more than 20 pages in without getting disgusted with the 5th grade writing style.
HAHA! couldn't agree more ... I spent 3 months living in a van in spain with only 2 books - this and the Da Vinci code, and no access to any English words! I dont know how i survived!!
Interesting at the time of reading but to be honest quite forgettable afterward. I would recommend leaving time inbetween reading the next Dan book otherwise you become sick of the writing and the style.
