In the Shadow of a Saint
Ken Wiwa
Ken Saro-Wiwa was executed in 1995. One of Nigeria's best-loved writers and critics of military rule, he was a mover in bringing the human rights abuses of Shell Oil and the Nigerian military to the world's attention. This work tells of Ken Wiwa's childhood and relationship with his father.

A fantastic book. Ken Wiwa's father was the leader of the Ogoni tribe who were stuffed over by Shell and the Nigerian government. Their land was taken and polluted - and his father was executed for leading the resistance against them.
This book is as much about the relationship between a son and a famous father as it is about the struggle. It makes for an incredible read. I highly recommend it to you.
