Posted by oglala (1 year ago ) A very powerful book, but be warned. I was already a professional environmental activist, but this book made me really *feel* the horror of the problems. But the author believes people should give up hope and turn to despair and last-ditch actions. I became a less effective environmentalist once I couldn't read anything environmental because it made me too distraught and outraged. Amazing, but if you're sensitive -- be warned.
