Kite Runner
Khaled Hosseini
A novel, presented with an introduction by Mariella Frostrup.

The story completely drew me in. A simple and yet so vivid read. This book will take you on a journey.
I loved this book and always put it on my top ten list. I thought it was honest, informative and emotionally engaging. After reading it, I listened to an interview of the author and then the author reading the audiobook. It definitely meant more to me the second reading (or, actually, listening).
A lovely book but with some shocking scenes.
I initially thought i would hate this, I am not normally a fan of "topical" books, but I really enjoyed it. The book tells the story of two boys growing up 40 years ago in a very different afganistan to what we know now.
The story follows one of the boys to adulthood and his return to the Afganistan of 5 years ago.
good stuff.
It was a good read but it left me feeling cold, it all felt a bit slight somehow.
good book, like mdixoncm says it does have some disturbing scenes but its well worth the read.
