Shadow of the Wind

I've never been to Barcelona, but having read this book I felt not only that I knew the place intimately, but that I also had good friends there. I can't give this book enough praise !

Fantastic book and I absolutley loved the settings throughout. Somewhere all book lovers would love to go and explore I think.

Great book! It hooked me from the very first sentence. Definitely a book-lover's book. I look forward to reading it again some day.

A wonderful book - I have lent and bought so many copies to pass on to others. The language flows (hats off to the translator) and the story is engrossing - especially if you have visited Barcelona.

This is a beautiful book.

I thought this was just brilliant, one of the best books I have read in a long time. Its part classic murder mystery, part love story, part comedy, part historical fiction - and all done very well.

Definitely one I would recommend, and one I will probably read again ... good stuff ...

I did enjoy this - but felt it tailed off towards the end. I loved the feeling of place in it but felt the plot was somewhat laboured.

I'm just about to start this, but i think i will put it to the back of the queue :)

You should read it, it's a good book with a powerful storyline. But it does take a while to get into and it is a long book.
